Non-Competitive Program
Intro to Synchro
- Introductory lessons of synchronized swimming where athletes can experience the graceful sport firsthand
- Offered for ages 5-13
- Swimmers must be able to float in the water and complete one 25-yard freestyle lap independently and one 25-yard backstroke lap independently
- No previous synchronized swimming experience necessary. This program teaches basic synchro skills and concepts.
- Four-week program that meets once a week for 60 minutes
Competitive Programs
Novice
- Athletes that have mastered the skills in the “Intro to Synchro” class
- Offered for ages of 5 and 14
- Compete in 4-5 meets per season in Florida
Intermediate
- After mastering the skills obtained at the Novice level, athletes move up to the Intermediate team.
- Athletes maintain a commitment to train a minimum of 3 times per week for a total of 6-8 hours per week.
- Athletes in this group are usually 8 to 18 years old and have some competitive synchronized swimming experience.
- Compete in 5-6 meets per season around Florida
- This group competes under the following categories: Intermediate A and Intermediate B
Age Group
- Athletes entering this group are usually 10-18 years old and must display required skills and a commitment to train a minimum of 4 times per week for a total of 8-12 hours per week.
- Due to the time and dedication required, both athlete and family must be committed to this level.
- Athletes in this group compete in 7-8 meets at the local, regional, and national level.
Junior/Senior
- Athletes at this level have years of competitive experience and have shown passion, dedication and skill level.
- Minimum age for entry into this group is 14 years old.
- Junior/Senior athletes practice 4-5 times per week, for a total of 12-14 hours per week.
- Due to the time and dedication required, both athlete and family must be committed to this level.
- This group competes at the local, regional, national, and sometimes international level.
